As part of our work, we co-lead on global programs, alongside our members.
We prioritize public engagement, mobilizing the Canadian public for global LGBTIQ+ human rights, with impact in 28 countries.
CHOICE
As part of our growing global partnerships and programs work, Dignity Network Canada is partnering with Oxfam Canada to deliver CHOICE (Comprehensive Health Options through Innovative Community Engagement), an international program advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) globally over the next seven years.
CHOICE exemplifies DNC’s commitment to uniting Canadian civil society for global human rights and gender justice. Through CHOICE, DNC will:
- Strengthen public engagement in Canada:
Build awareness, evidence, and mobilization around global SRHR, LGBTIQ+ rights, gender justice, and human rights. - Support global impact:
Enable initiatives that improve SRHR outcomes and protect the rights of diverse SOGIESC communities worldwide. - Leverage partnerships for collective change:
Collaborate with international and Canadian partners to drive meaningful, sustained progress.
ACTIF
The Act Together For Inclusion Fund (ACTIF) is a groundbreaking investment by the Government of Canada into global LGBTIQ+ rights.
Led by Equitas and Dignity Network Canada, ACTIF is a multi-year program of $17 million, which has supported over 29 organizations to deliver change and impact for LGBTIQ+ communities in 25 countries.
As co-leads on the program, Dignity Network Canada spearheads on convening LGBTIQ+ advocacy groups and activists across countries, creating spaces for shared learning, increased visibility, and providing a platform for advocacy.
