Dignity and Partners Collaboratory

Exploring New Collaborative Models for Global LGBTIQ+ and Gender Justice Resourcing

Montréal

17 November 2025

18 November 2025

At a moment of unprecedented global assault on LGBTIQ+ rights and gender justice – with many key governments and donors stepping back and switching sides – there is an urgent need to come back stronger than ever. In terms of funding, we believe this means (a) redoubling our efforts to drive more and better resources into our movements; (b) rethinking the ways we fundraise, organize, and share resources within our movements; and (c) exploring more collaborative models for co-generating and sharing resources that can serve global LGBTIQ+ rights and wider outcomes. Across each of these areas, we think there is an important role that networks and network-based organizations could play.Dignity Network Canada, and several key grantmaking partners, including Égides, the Equality Fund, and Equitas, will convene a small group of key stakeholders to deepen the thinking around these issues and to explore solutions together. This is an initial and informal gathering designed to support early brainstorming and creative thinking together.During the two days, we will create space for open collective reflection on incentives for and barriers against raising and sharing resources within global LGBTIQ+ and gender justice movements.
